BlueMountains

Sunday saw a drive out to the Blue Mountains and more specifically Katoomba, home of the 3 Sisters rock formation .

In the morning we walked around echo point and marvelled at the view from Echo Point lookout. Lunch was at one of Katoomba's many art deco cafe's.

In the afternoon, we went to Scenic World, home of the world's steepest incline railway - 52degrees at the max!

At the bottom we walked around the rainforest, where Amelia had fun running and jumping...

today is bin day

Exciting I know. last night I had to put the bins on the nature strip (or they won't empty them.) This week it is 'general', 'paper' and 'glass/plastic' - here in St Ives we have four (really!) waste bins - the 4th being the big green garden waste bin. Unsurprisingly, the general one is the smallest, the aim being to force everyone to try to recycle (or rather, to presort so the council can do the recycling) their rubbish.

The first lorry arrived at about 7am...

Sleepy St Ives

The suburb we live in - St Ives - is a very sleepy area.

Or is it:
Drugs in St Ives and Ram Raiders (where we shop!!)
